It’s hard to believe it’ll be 2019 soon! It feels like yesterday we were marking our January calendars. Where did the time go? The seasons are flying by and it’s even (finally) starting to cool down here in North Carolina. Fall is finally starting to show: Leaves are falling. Pumpkins are glowing. What a glorious time of year, huh?!

With all of the chaos of Halloween and the other upcoming holidays, it’s easy to start slacking on the self care aspect of things. Self care, not just meaning getting your nails done or going for a massage with the ladies. – Self care as in actually putting yourself and your body’s needs first. Making yourself and your health a p r i o r i t y .

A huge part of self care is Holding Yourself Accountable For What Goes Into Your Body.  When it comes to staying hydrated, holding yourself accountable is easy to do over the Summer. When temperatures are high your body is craving water. At least I know mine is! Once the seasons begin to change and those temperatures start to drop, it’s a different story entirely. I get distracted: with work, with caring for others, with holiday shenanigans. Drinking isn’t always on my mind. On days like today, I forget to take a sip entirely and I’m left dizzy and dry-mouthed at the end of the day.

Dehydration Isn't Just a

Whether you’re living with a chronic illness or not, staying hydrated year-round is essential to your health and overall wellness.

According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.

If you’re like me, and you are living with a chronic condition, this is especially important. DripDrop was created by a doctor to treat life threatening cases of dehydration. It’s important to fuel your body with things it needs. I also want to include you in an important mission for me personally.

If you’ve been tuning in, you may already know, My Grandad Was Diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I talk about this more: here and here. It’s something that’s been really weighing hard on my family. This is why I’m so excited to offer you and your family 20% off of your DripDrop order so you can stay hydrated year-round. Simply use the code SHAWN20 starting October 19th, 2018! If we hit 20 code redemptions DripDrop will donate $1,000 to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. The prognosis for Lung Cancer is very poor and survival rates are extremely low, unfortunately this is a direct reflection on funding for research related to the condition as well. Please help me raise money and possibly save my grandfather’s life! Let me know if you use the code and how you enjoy your DripDrop!
