This post and video is to share where I’ve been, why I took a break and really what’s been going on in my life. I’m also speaking on being a patient advocate and how to attend conferences. Huge thank you to those of you who follow me and have supported me this far! I’ve started a new YouTube channel and I’m really looking forward to posting so be sure to subscribe.

I haven’t posted in a while but I really have wanted to! I did an entire article on IBD vs. IBS. – I’ve been working on it for weeks now but it’s still not where I would like it to be, however I am looking forward to sharing more fact-based posts. Think it would be a great addition to all of the more lifestyle and emotional things I’ve already shared.

  1. We all need to take a break from time to time, so don’t beat yourself up for needing some time out! A new YouTube channel sounds like a fantastic undertaking, I can’t wait to see what content you produce! You go, girl!

Though mostly about IBD, this blog covers a wide array of issues.  Shawn covers complex issues, like how her identity as an African American intersects with her IBD.  I am taken aback by the depth of each post! Whether you’re a blogger or an IBDer, her posts are sure to offer tons of inspiration.
