I was raised in a one parent home by a mother living with Schizophrenia. Much of my life was spent caring for her. As I grew older, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that caused me to live life differently. Between being sick and dealing with unfortunate circumstances, I spent a lot of time going through the motions rather than living and fully experiencing life. The ending of one relationship and start to many led me to wonder what life would be like if I gave up worldly things and attachments to simply live. – So that’s what I decided to do. My goal is to place more value in experiences than money. To live a life I want to live, rather than one I feel I have to. In my early 20’s I experienced what many would consider “success.” – I worked for a fortune 500 company, making more than any of my friends. Although I don’t have a degree, I worked beside people with Master’s and above. I worked with people who had families, made a great deal of money, 10+ years older than me and still weren’t happy. – I don’t want to be that person. This is my journey to the life I want and deserve.
